Dawn Tagawa grew up on Harbor Island, North Carolina in her grandmother’s historic residence which was home to the only standing boathouse on the island, surviving Hurricane Hazel in 1954.

She worked in Seagrove, North Carolina with a well-known pottery family wheel turning and firing various kilns including copper red reduction, salt glaze/wood fire, raku and oxidation.

Currently Dawn lives and works as an artist in central, NC.
